They also provide food services to Chick-fil-A and Chipotle. In 2024, M. Jude Reyes' biggest donation was to the GOP's Congressional Leadership Fund ($4,334,000), followed by the Senate Leadership Fund ($2,250,000). In 2024, Tillman Fertitta donated a total of $15,000 to the Republican Party of Georgia, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Paige Fertitta donated $5,000 each state Republican Party and $407,300 to Trump 47 Committee. Inc., as well as $223,900 to the RNC. Her one Democratic donation ($3,300) went to Shirley Jackson Lee. Howard Lorber, Executive Chairman of Nathan's Famous Nathan's Famous is a fast food chain with 20 locations in Washington, none in Kitsap County. Lorber served as one of the top economic advisers to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Smithfield, a subsidiary of the Chinese company, WH Group, sells Nathan's Famous hot dogs in grocery stores and they do not appear to be related to Howard Lorber's business.
In December 2023, Howard M. Lorber donated $100,000 to Make America Great Again Inc. His 2024 donations went to the NRSC committee, Ted Cruz and the Republican Party of Texas. (Lorber lives in Florida, close to Mar-a-Lago.)

There are 24 Nathan's Famous restaurants in Washington, but none in Kitsap County.
Papa John's Pizza According to Open Secrets, Papa John's Pizza employees or owners and their family members donated $230,458 to the RNC, Trump, the Republican Party of seven states (including Washington) and the Oklahoma Leadership Council. The company did not donate to any Democratic organization or candidate. The company's new CEO, Todd Penegor, donated $2,600 to the Wendy's Company PAC. McDonald's Corp According to Open Secrets, McDonald's employees or owners and their family members donated $1,038,287 to candidates and groups of both parties, but slightly more to Republicans. The company's CEO gave $15,000 to the Procter & Gamble Company Good Government Fund. Papa John's pizza has one store in Kitsap County, but 17 stores on the Eastside.

Walmart PAC/Walton family In 2024, the Walmart PAC donated $628,500 to Republicans and $481,000 to Democratic candidates.

Steuart Walton is the son of Jim Walton, brother of Sam, and is the only member of the Walton family who sits on the Walmart board. Steuart donated $20,000 each to the NRSC and NRCC, $5,000 to the Land of Opportunity PAC which gave all of its donations to Republican candidates. $100,000 to America Strong and Free Action, Inc, a super PAC that exclusively supports Asa Hutchinson.

According to the FEC, Lucas Walton (thought to be a key vote in the closely held entity that controls a 50.2% stake in Walmart shares) donated $316,300 to the Harris Action Fund, $500,000 to the LCV (League of Conservation Voters) Victory Fund, $500,000 to the With Honor Fund II and individual Democratic candidates, such as Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Mary Peltola, Jon Tester, Tina Smith and Bennie Thompson. Lucas Walton is the grandson of Sam Walton.

S. Robson Walton, eldest son of Sam Walton, donated the maximum of $3,300 to mostly GOP U.S. House candidates and a few Democratic candidates, $100,000 to the WelcomePac, which recruits Democatic candidates, Ted Cruz and Roger Wicker.

Alice L. Walton, daughter of Sam Walton, donated $13,000 to Nikki Haley, nothing to Trump, $6,600 to Asa Hutchinson, $3,300 to Boozman for Arkansas.

Ann Walton-Kroenke and Nancy Walton Laurie are nieces of Sam Walton. They made no federal candidate donations.

Gregory B. Penner is chairman of the Walmart board. His only 2023-2024 donation was $6,600 to Collins for Senator, a PAC for Susan Collins.

Doug McMillon is the president and CEO of Walmart, Inc. He did not make any federal political donations in the 2023-2024 cycle.
